How Personal Counselling works at CHS

Dr. Lupart and Ms. Tiemstra are available to talk to student about a wide variety of personal, social and emotional concerns such as:

Abuse

Anxiety and stress

Behavioural Concerns

Bullying

Depression

Body Image

Grief & Loss

School Climate

Self Harm & Suicide

Referral to External Supports

 

A Note About Confidentiality:

A counsellor is expected to be confidential and treat students as legal adults except in the following cases:

  1. With student permission

  2. If there is an imminent threat of harm to self or others

  3. Reported child abuse

  4. Court ordered disclosure

  5. Professional consultation (not using name identifiers)
